About me

Me

Me

I am a 33 (well I was when I started travelling I am now 35 yuck! Too told!) year old Scottish female.  I speak Scottish, not English. My favourite word is banter and I love meeting people to banter with.  I love to travel and to laugh and if I can combine both I am super happy.  I am currently travelling for a bit over a year and hope to learn about people, their lives, their cultures and see some pretty cool places along the way.  I have a particular interest in happiness and how that is related to the demographics of the place.  I also believe in karma so do good get good is my motto for my trip.

Hey Chels! Thanks for that! My current aim is to learn enough Spanish so that I can banter in Spanish. This is not going to be easy I fear! How are keeping? Are you feeling well? Axxx

I’ve been completely intrigued with how many people have dedicated themselves to traveling for a living. Financially how do you support your travels?

Save save and save more!!!!! It’s the only way!!! Have worked for many years before I decided to travel. Some people, of course, work en route, teaching English or something else..what about you? What’s your travel plan? Angie

Hi Angie, don’t know if you get our emails, I see they are printed on your site but don’t know if you get them, I keep getting a message to reply.
Your blog is good and interesting, it is an amazing chance you have to fulfil that dream of travelling and meeting all other residents of our world, and learn their cultures which I am really interested in, some are brilliant, some, well bizarre I just don’t understand the way some people try to change the places they either visit or take up residency in, they should do as you do, learn the culture of where they stay and stick to it, they might just enjoy it.
It is great to read about your travels, you are getting right into it and brilliant to share it with you, gives us an insight into it all.
    When are you moving on?
Take care, lots of love Eileen and Gus xx

Hey guys! Am off trekking tomorrow for a few days along an old Inca Route which should be fun. After that will head on from Bolivia! Time for a change though Bolivia is such an interesting place. They have political protests very frequency. The people are very vocal in their protests against any changes in laws etc which they don’t like. There has been a road blockage for almost 3 weeks which has just ended over funding and boundary disputes in one of the regions here. Really interesting and must make it a very challenging country to be the president off!
better go practise that singing on the charango. Lovely to hear from you. love angexx

Your playing was good, we watched the clip, you are doing so well, you are certainly doing your mum and dad proud, we always thought of you as the shy retiring type, it is great that you are willing to tackle anything on your travels.
We don’t get to learn of these regional disputes in this Country, I don’t think we hear what is happening in Bolivia at all, probably not many people will know where the Country is, unless they are fans of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, I was talking to an ex-colleague who thinks Bolivia is in Europe!!
Take care, lots of love from Eileen and Gus xx
